Advocate for the Neurodiverse

I’m a speech-language pathologist specializing in pediatric therapy with a passion for helping children develop confidence and connection through communication. I work with a wide range of needs including articulation, fluency, executive functioning, neurofeedback, social communication, language disorders, and feeding/swallowing challenges. My focus is on supporting neurodiverse children—those with ADHD, sensory processing issues, language delays, and social communication differences—through individualized, strengths-based therapy.

My journey into speech-language pathology is deeply personal. When my daughter, Raelee, showed strong cognitive skills but struggled to express herself, I sought speech therapy for her. That experience revealed the life-changing impact of accessible, personalized support—and inspired me to become an SLP.

Originally from Perkins and Box Butte counties, I now live on a ranch in Hemingford, Nebraska, with my husband, Lee, and our four children. I earned my undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and my master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from UNK. Seeing the need for more SLPs in rural areas, I was proud to help UNK develop an online graduate program to expand access for non-traditional students.

I’m also a strong advocate for neurodiverse children and their families. My approach integrates sensory regulation, cognitive flexibility, and emotional support to help each child succeed at home, in school, and in the world. I believe our “neurospicy” kids have incredible strengths—and with the right tools, they can thrive.

At the heart of my work is this belief: every child deserves to be heard, understood, and supported.
